Most Popular Posts on Making Extra Money

Grand per Month was started with a goal of offering up ideas and advice on how to begin making extra money in your spare time with a goal of actually making an extra $1000 per month.  Imagine what you could do with that much extra cash flow in your budget.  If you have been living paycheck to paycheck as many of us are, the extra wiggle room could be enough to start paying off debt or begin saving an emergency fund.

Whatever your motivation or particular needs, having more money than month is a good thing which is the first step to financial freedom.  So let’s take a look at the most popular posts from the blog for the year.

Most Popular Posts for 2012

How to Make $1000 Per Month With Stock Dividends–It looks like everyone loves the idea of passive income.  Invest in some stocks and sit back and collect the checks.  It is certainly a great concept, but it does take quite a bit of money to make this happen.  In the article, I calculate that $300,000 worth of stock yielding 4% is what it would take.  Obviously, this isn’t available to everyone, but as you near retirement, you might want to look at how to turn your savings into a cash flow using dividend stocks.

How to Make $1000 Per Month Cleaning Houses–Now this is something that would be available to anyone.  All it takes are a few cleaning supplies, time, and some individuals who want to have their house cleaned by someone else.  You might even be able to convince a client to provide the supplies and keep them at the house.  Either way, the start-up costs are pretty low especially compared to the $300,000 needed for dividends.  Just make sure that you do a great job as word-of-mouth advertising in this business is key.  Also make sure that you are compensated at roughly $20 per hour.  So if it takes 4 hours to clean a house, $80 is not an unreasonable price.

How to Make $1000 Per Month as a Blogger–It is certainly possible to make an extra grand per month as a blogger.  In fact, it was my success at making this amount of money by blogging in the last 3 months of 2011 that led me to start this blog.  Now, my income has gone down in 2012, but that’s OK.  I am still having fun doing this and I still have decent revenue months from time to time.  My biggest problem has been growth of traffic and being able to spend as much time as is needed to make it happen.  But if you have the time and can devote yourself to the cause, it is still possible to make $1000 per month with blogging.

How to Make $1000 Per Month as a Virtual Assistant–This is another one of those ways of making money without leaving the house.  Much of the work is computer based and can be done for those needing some flexibility in scheduling.  Plus the start-up costs are low as well so any money earned will rapidly fall to the bottom line.  There are any number of sources for finding clients so be sure to check out this article by Melissa who works virtually herself.

Six Tips for Making $1000 Per Month as a Part-Time Blogger–Finally a post that is not one of our many money making ideas, but offers advice and tips for how to make it happen.  That has been the whole aim of this site–to provide ideas and help you achieve your extra money goals through tips and motivation.
